Parcel2Go.com on shortlist for top national award
Bolton firm Parcel2Go.com has been shortlisted for an illustrious national business
award, with a chance to be named the Fast Growth Business of the Year 2010.
The Fast Growth Business Awards (FGBA), run in conjunction with Growing Business
magazine and sponsored by T-Mobile, celebrate the very best of the UK’s most ambitious
businesses.
Parcel2Go.com’s nomination puts the online parcel delivery firm and its 30-strong
workforce in distinguished company.
Now in their fourth successful year, the Fast Growth Business Awards have a track
record of identifying businesses on the cusp of the big time - from Maximuscle to
Multimap, LOVEFiLM, Insure & Go and last year’s overall winner, King of Shaves.
Founded in 2000 by father and son team Fil and Richard Adams-Mercer, along with
colleague Steve Kramer, Parcel2Go.com has been shortlisted in the Online Business
of the Year category.
The award for Online Business of the Year will go to a company with a rock solid
business model that has extensively used the internet to increase its sales profits.
Entries will be judged by a panel of successful business entrepreneurs including
Will King, founder of King of Shaves, Julie Meyer, founder and chief executive of
Ariadne Capital, and Matthew Riley, CEO of Daisy Group plc.
Parcel2Go.com bosses will be joining a host of other top firms at the prestigious
black tie presentation evening in London on Wednesday 14th April 2010.
Founder Fil Adams-Mercer said, “We are delighted to be recognised for the strong
business performance that Parcel2Go.com has delivered. Our business has gone from
strength to strength as more and more users opt for the cost savings and convenience
of our online delivery service. The team has worked incredibly hard and used a great
deal of initiative to capitalise on business opportunities to get us where we are
now.”
