Parcel2Go.com scoops Business of the Year award
Parcel2Go.com beat some of the North West’s top companies to win a prestigious Business
of the Year award.
Last month, the North West's top business people gathered for a glittering ceremony
at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium to celebrate the brightest local business talent. Movers
and shakers put on their best suits and poshest frocks for the annual Bolton and
Bury Business Awards.
One of the premier events in the North West’s business calendar, the awards are
open to companies of all sizes. The panel of distinguished judges were looking for
businesses or individuals who, through their endeavours, made a vital contribution
to the local economy.
The 10 awards categories covered every facet of business achievement and enterprise
and the judges chose the overall winners from a shortlist of finalists in each category.
The awards were presented by TV personality Gordon Burns and the big winner of the
night was Parcel2Go.com, which scooped the highly esteemed 2009 Business of the
Year award.
Demonstrating a successful track record of excellence, achievement and exceptional
growth, the flourishing father-and-son parcel delivery company now has a turnover
of £11 million.
Receiving the award, triumphant company founder Fil Adams-Mercer declared: “It’s
brilliant! It’s for my staff, they do the real hard work.”
His son Richard Adams-Mercer, Business Development Director of Parcel2Go.com, added:
“We are thrilled to receive this premier business award, which is further recognition
of the success of our thriving parcel delivery business.
“We are gaining many new customers because more and more people are discovering
that Parcel2Go.com provides a cheap and reliable online alternative to the Royal
Mail.”
